Fictional memories - creative writing

seen on manoman:

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, (even if we don't speak often) please post a comment with a COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL memory of you and me. It can be anything you want - good or bad - BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE. When you're finished, post this little paragraph in your journal and be surprised (or mortified) about what people DON'T ACTUALLY remember about you. (Only if you so desire, of course).

Not really a mindless meme - more of a creative writing prompt post and so I am not putting it into the memes friends group.

My reply to his post, here, was:

"What always makes me smile is remembering that time in the junior common room of Vanbrugh College (York University) when we were making and selling toasted sandwiches for the 12 hour all-nighter horror video marathon and you said that we should make omelette/egg and ketchup ones and call them 'bloody smashed brains' toasties!"

So, let'em rip!

I find that truth can sometimes be stranger than fiction. I'm not even sure that you are even going to be aware of our bizzare meeting. Long before we met on Live journal we met in real life. It's only by slowly piecing together the clues that I have worked out who you are.

It was New year, we were both at the same party. I can't even remember now who the host was or where the party was, but it had a fancy dress theme. You were dressed as the sexiest witch I have ever seen. I was batman. I wasn't the only batman at the party. Throughout the night you would come across to me a flirt with me. Dropping hints at what you would like to do to me when you got your chance to get me somewhere quite on our own. It's a pity then that it was the other batman that forfilled your fantasies. Later in the evening I watched as you and the other batman came down the stairs together. The smile on his face telling me that you did get to play out the hints you had dropped in my direction.

I have often wondered as I read your Journal each day whether you have any clue that kingdavey is someone you have met in real life and have shared some of your darkest fantasies with. I wonder now whether after reading this you are going to be so horrified that I find an email in my inbox from Live Journal admin tell me that natf has deleted me as a friend and that I will no longer be able to read the friends only posts. Or could it be that I find an email from you inviting me down to Billingshurst, to catch up with a very wicked witch. I'll just have to wait and see.

Nice one!

You really should pursue your writing. That is a fertile imaginationmemory... ;-p
