uvuros, corehound, green

Damned weekly server maintenance be damned

I forgot about that and logged out a while ago to get some food expecting to be able to log back in and play all night while I am awake. Oh well. Time to knit some more dishcloths, I suppose, because I am not up to finishing the knitted gift items that need finishing before I can mail/deliver them. Knitting with web reading and/or podcasts.

I need a userpic of my new green core-hound pet from WoW (done). Perhaps I have time to do/make that before the server goes down.

Neighbour kitty

I just took a full bin-liner down to the wheely bin and thought I would take Pixel down for a look outside with his newly crocheted harness and lead. Having put the bag in the bin and got Pixel down and harnessed up, keen for a look outside, the cat from downstairs (who had been said to be an indoors cat and had escaped on an overheard phone call in the garden the other day) appeared on our outside doormat and seemed to want to come inside. It is indeed cold out there as compared to the last few weeks. Anyway, Pixel sniffed at the new-to-him cat who sounds, to me, just like Smudge used to and then decided that he would rather high tail it back up the stairs and so I said goodbye (and sorry for the cold) to the cute little female tortie with white paws (another similarity to Smudge but she did not have white paws) and carefully shut the door on her while taking Pixel's harness and lead off. He then spent a while sat on the inside doormat communing with her through the frosted and toughened glass at the bottom of our front-door while I made myself some food in the kitchen. Scaredy (cautious?) cat is scaredy (one of his nicknames is wuss-puss.

Wooly for iPad Kickstarter!

I cannot afford to fund this Kickstarter but would love to have Wooly on my iPad (I have it on the iPhone). From their email to me as a recent beta tester of the iPhone app:

Hi there! Since you've contacted us through the Wooly app or we've met in some other way, we thought you'd like an update about Wooly 2.0 for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. Click here to go to our Kickstarter Campaign page.

We have two new Reward Levels!

$150 Reward Level: Here's your chance to grab one skein of Feel Good Yarn Co's SilverSpun yarn. SilverSpun is an American made cotton yarn spun with pure silver. A knitted pair of gloves will work great with touchscreen devices like the iPad. It's a perfect match for Wooly 2.0! I understand it's currently sold out and so this is about the ONLY place you're going to find some. Did we mention there's SILVER in it? Cool.

$50 Reward Level: Thanks to our friends at Cooperative Press, receive a complimentary subscription to Knit Edge Magazine...as well as the rewards included in the under $50 level.

Since we launched our Kickstarter campaign a few weeks ago we've received an overwhelmingly positive response. As I write this we're 92% funded and have 6 days left in our campaign. What that means is that we only have to raise $598 in order to bring you Wooly 2.0 by the end of the summer. With your help we could meet our goal today...we're that close.

When we meet our Kickstarter goal we will launch a Stretch Goal to support all you ANDROID users out there!
