Writer's Block: Bigger, but Not Always Better

There's a trend in recent years to re-release popular movies as 3D versions, or with extra extended scenes, or other tweaks and additions. Do you generally approve of these changes, or do you wish they'd just leave the original well enough alone?

3D movies, whichever 3D format, give many people (including, occasionally, me) migraines and other headaches and so there should always be a 2D alternative available to watch at the same time but sadly there rarely is. Usually these days you have to look very hard to find a film in 2D format when most people want to see it in 3D. Personally I see this as discrimination against those of us with visual disabilities as well as those people who just find 3D uncomfortable to watch.

The question I answered here, in case they change it (which they have done before), was, "There's a trend in recent years to re-release popular movies as 3D versions, or with extra extended scenes, or other tweaks and additions.
