I have been reading Wikipedia about genre, specifically the section on fiction/literary genre, although they do not entitle the section that. I have discovered that my book has elements of, among others;
  • fictionalised memoir,
  • memoir of fictional characters,
  • science fiction,
  • hard science fiction,
  • cyberpunk
  • crime fiction

…but seems to be coming down mainly within the Postcyberpunk camp. Hmm. This article on Wikipedia does not mention Urban Fantasy, speculative fiction and a few other newer-seeming genres, though, and so I am sure there are others that might apply.

Does anyone have a link to a more definitive description and catalogue of the various fiction genres and their definitions?
