[loudtwitter] Microblogging

Sometimes this is the only blogging I manage to do. Feel free to skip it as is your choice and prerogative but then you may not find out about what I did yesterday and/or how I was feeling (health, mood, etc.) as well as any links I have made a note of for my own and your interest and the odd haiku that I post there …

The Yawn Explained: It Cools Your Brain : Discovery News

"It is interesting to note that instances of excessive yawning in humans may be indicative of brain cooling problems," Gallup, Jr., told Discovery News, pointing out that patients with multiple sclerosis often experience bouts of excessive yawning "and MS involves thermoregulatory dysfunction."

Well, that last bit just solidifies my belief that hypothalamus is geb0rked - one of its main functions is thermoregulation and I am ALWAYS either too hot or too cold. NEVER "just right" (other than fleetingly as it switches mode from cooling to heating). It probably also explains why this damned flu/fever is SO! UNCOMFORTABLE!!! for me.

spotted on brightlotusmoon in a post with many great links about the brain, fibromyalgia, CP and other brain-stuffs

Double vision

Double vision, blurred vision (and so major difficulty both focussing each eye let alone making them work together. This all triggers PAIN. Taking pain meds and going back to bed.

Not sure how I am supposed to do the list of things that still need to be done and have needed to be done since we moved. Zero spoons/energy. Loads of phone calls to make and letters to write that should have been done back in July. Can barely sit up and knit, though.

Want To Buy (WTB) personal assistant that will cook, clean and do all of my paperwork/admin/beaurocracy!
