The scientist in me wants to pooh pooh this as sensationalism but as someone who can hear fluorescent lighting, even the low energy bulbs, and both hear and feel AC current and hard drives turning nearby, I would not be at all surprised if this was true. I am reminded of history lessons where we learned that it used to be considered healthy and attractive to smear mercury on your face.

Yes, we live in the future, but the future seems to be one big speculative fiction (sci-fi/fantasy/etc.) plot bunny!
