Sunday morning at a half past midnight: the howling gale and storming rain are not drowning out the noises of the Staffordshire's barking, downstairs’ stereo thumping and the cat outside wailing about being cold and wet.
Does the cat have an owner nearby that will let it inside? Have they just shut the cat outside despite the weather just because “that is what you do with cats at night”?
I debate knocking on the door downstairs to ask them if they know what time it is but remember how wet I would get. Also calling the RSPCA for the cat.
