[updated] LJ FAIL

I am unable to load/read livejournal, even my own LJ. It either times out (in safari) while "Connecting to userapi.com…" or sits there for 15 mins or more doing the same (in Firefox) before I give up. So, that is why I am not commenting much on your LJ posts. *sad*

ETA: I am able to read my friends page using Chrome. So weird how that works and the other two don't.

ran into that problem earlier. [i use FF4.0 on ubuntu 11.10] The solution is to hit stop loading page in the browser, then hit reload or refresh.

At a guess, there's an ad script that keeps choking as it loads into google's chute.
