More than partially true in my opinion

apologies for posting about politics but this article talks about something that I have been pondering for a while to do with US and UK (western) politics:

:) I'm with ya. Thanks for posting. I shared it with my health care reform classmates. (We're in a class that's supposed to be on health-care policies and a pre-req for working in a free clinic, but in this day and age it's mostly just on current events political material.)

Yeah I caught that programme quite by accident during the week and it was fascinating, sort in the same part of the spectrum as Adam Curtis documentaries.
The next one draws back to the UK to explain how this process affects our democracy.

A simple answer for a simple question: because many of us do not see the reforms being proposed as being in our own interest.
