Latest in the doorbell saga

So. I was awake all night as usual. I was actually up until about 10 am before I went to bed/sleep. I was asleep earlier when the postman rang the doorbell but that is okay because it was a delivery that I was waiting for. Also, I was still pretty tired and easily went straight back to sleep afterwards.

Then, about fifteen minutes ago, I was woken again by the doorbell. I trotted off downstairs, still pretty much asleep (dangerous for me, I know) and without remembering to grab my glasses - in case it was another delivery.

Guess what? When I get to the door there is nobody there. Grrrrrrrrr.

I trotted back up to the kitchen (middle floor - bedroom is top floor and front door is bottom floor) and watched out of the window. A woman with short grey/light hair was wandering around and then walked back towards our door. Yup, she rang the doorbell again!

I hurtled down the stairs hoping to catch her before she ran off and opened the door. She was already walking away again, too slowly to be playing "knock down ginger" (and maybe too old/adult?). I yelled out, "That was not funny!". She kept saying, in an eastern-european accent , "I sorry." I said that I had had to come all the way down stairs twice now (well, one and a half, I guess) and asked her what she wanted, still pretty loudly.

"I sorry."

Um, what?

She walked away again and I closed the door - maybe a little too forcefully, but I was SO angry by now! I ran back up to the kitchen and watched her wander around and stop at many other front doors before eventually leaving the estate. She was reeling as if drunk or ill but what is the point of ringing all of the doorbells in the estate and then not ask for help if you need help? Maybe she was looking for someone she knew that spoke her language but she had forgotten which door they lived at. I don't know.

Ugh, and, because of that - the running and anger - I now have stomach and gut pain and now I feel really nauseous (ETA: I did throw up later). Thanks for that, Mrs "I Sorry"!

I hate to assume that someone walking with ataxia or otherwise reeling is drunk/intoxicated because I get like that without alcohol sometimes - from the MS
